Green Roof & Green Wall
Green Roof Project
Storm & Rainwater are collected to irrigate this unique residential rooftop garden. The lower half of the precast cistern tank is being raised over the building for placement in the ground.
The irrigation system is a soil moisture controlled one where the irrigation water only comes on when the soil indicates it has arrived at a preset moisture content level deemed dry enough for the specific type of plant material.
A high efficiency subsurface landscape dripline irrigation system was installed before the soil was added. Lines held in place by supports allowed for equal spacing of driplines to occur. Lines were laid out with emission devices set in a triangular pattern.
