Lorne Haveruk, principal of Water Management Services, known as one of North Americas leading water efficiency advocacy, continues to be highly involved with the Irrigation Industry world wide. He has served to create, direct, instruct, present, key note, and write about irrigation industry training in North America and Europe. A Certified Irrigation Designer, Contractor, Auditor and Water Conservation Practitioner, Mr. Haveruk is among the highest certified in North America and Europe. Through day to day industry involvement combined with continual upgrades of training content for clients and own use, the message is always right on the mark.
DHWMS offer customized irrigation training services to private corporations, manufacturers, associations, cities, and companies focused on irrigation efficiency, as only Lorne can provide with his personal touch due to his many years of formal and hands on training and experience. We can help develop, deliver, train or any other aspect of the training process you need our expertise in. We continue to present and educate individuals who design, install, service and operate irrigation and central control systems with hands on and theoretical approaches.
Past President of the CIA –ER and past chairman of the LO Irrigation Commodity Group, as well as being elected to the IA Board of Directors in 2002, Lorne is among only a handful of contractors, now an irrigation water efficiency consultant, to become a board member of the Irrigation Association. He continues to be involved with educational committees for these associations.
In 1989, Lorne launched a design-build-service irrigation &lighting contracting business, which was sold in 2005 to allow him to consult full time. During the past 17 years the company installed over 1300 systems ranging from sports fields, golf courses, commercial and residential properties, nurseries, rooftops, as well as indoor systems, utilizing rain water harvesting and reclaimed water sources. Rainwater collection systems, cistern storage systems and reuse water are ongoing areas of diversification helping to conserver our limited water supply and trying to meet LEED standards.
Lorne’s services are continually sought after as he possesses a unique mix of talents that hits a home run with your audience. Because of his involvement in this area he knows what they need and how to deliver the content in a manner that they will listen to and learn from. His course evaluations are always scored top notch. He continues to offer his support through email communication to those that may struggle in the real worlds on their first few projects.
